Blue Ridge Site & Soil, what we do…

Jeff T. Walker, may be reached at 540 239 9131. or by mail sent to: walker@swva.net

We evaluate soil permeability and site conditions needed to match the design of sewage (septic) systems to the needs of the home builder.

The result is an application for the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) which will be approved for a fee. Permit fee’s are dependent on which county your property is located in. See link:

http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/LHD/newriver/environmental.htm#fees

An application supported by AOSE permit, is an asset to your property, the site evaluation and planning benefit you and your contractor in assuring clear understanding of the specifications, and the ability of your contractor to render a competitive bid for construction.  VDH reviews the report and design and issues the permit at reduced fee.

Typically a solution can be found at a cost of $640, naturally additional fee’s apply for the supply of an excavator, or advanced design or testing. No two sites are the same, however you only pay for the scope of services which support your development plans.

The value of my services are evident since I offer you the latitude of considering the best alternatives, and believe that my duty to inform and incorporate your choices in a system are far more accommodating than the Commonwealth’s staff. Your site doesn’t have to be cleared, I will assist you in locating significant features; and counsel with you on other issues regarding siting a home: driveway, utilities, water (spring or well), agricultural issues and so forth. Satisfying your concerns is my specialty.

Where do you plan to live? Being familiar with Floyd County and the surrounding area I understand the territory, and am willing to share my knowledge with you. Just knowing your location, slope, terrain, and your goals will begin the process give me a call and we can talk.

I will be pleased to support your interests, and advise you how you may achieve your site development goals.

My e-mail is walker@swva.net; feel free to write.
